And Jacob said to Pharaoh, “The years of my pilgrimage are a hundred and thirty. My years have been few and difficult, and they do not equal the years of the pilgrimage of my fathers.”
Last year I was was involved in an long term/in depth study of Genesis, from creation to the death of Joseph, it was an eye and heart opening study. It was good for my soul to see the redemption story started “In the beginning”.
But the words from Jacob “The years of my pilgrimage” have stuck with me. How have I defined these few years on earth? By a number, by seasons, by major events? I’d like to look at my years and see the pilgrimage that God has planned for, outlined and guided me on.
